Traffic volume study is a process to identify the primary amount of traffic going on the roadways at a specific location during a specific period of time. It is the most important requirement for transportation system planning, design, and operation. If volume data is not continuously discovered, the transportation system may fail and the nation’s economy may have significant difficulties. In this regard, B.Tech Construction & Consulting assigned M/S PRC Enterprise to carry out the Traffic volume survey of two selected locations- Dhaka-Maulvibazar Highway (N207), Sreemangal; and Chunarughat-Assampara Road, Chunarughat Upazila, Habiganj. The main objective of performing this traffic volume survey was to measure

i) Vehicle composition of Traffic Stream

ii) Road Traffic Volume Analysis

iii) Service Flow Rate Calculation

iv) Flow fluctuation analysis
